About
Clinical Laboratory for Respiratory Pathogen Diagnostics and Validation
The Clinical Laboratory for Respiratory Pathogen Diagnostics and Validation is dedicated to advancing accurate, timely, and clinically meaningful diagnostic tools for respiratory infectious diseases. The laboratory focuses on the discovery, development, analytical assessment, and clinical validation of novel diagnostic assays across a broad range of respiratory pathogens, including emerging and re-emerging threats.
By leveraging well-characterized clinical specimens and real-world patient populations, the laboratory evaluates diagnostic performance, clinical accuracy, and utility in diverse care settings. Its work bridges basic innovation and clinical implementation, supporting transnational research, regulatory pathways, and evidence generation for adoption in clinical and public health practice.
The laboratory collaborates with academic, clinical, industry, and public health partners to accelerate diagnostic innovation, strengthen preparedness for outbreaks and pandemics, and improve patient outcomes through reliable, high-quality respiratory diagnostics.
