ENGAGE-HEALTH — Gamified & Personalised Digital Interventions for Prevention and Self-Management
New Business Director at Playmotiv
Barcelona, Spain
About
Playmotiv is looking for partners to build a Horizon Europe Cluster 1 Health consortium focused on behavioural interventions, prevention and sustained engagement. Our contribution is an powered gamification platform designed to increase adherence, motivation and long-term participation in health programmes, especially those targeting non-communicable diseases (NCDs), lifestyle improvement and mental wellbeing.
Many health interventions fail not because the science is weak, but because people disengage: low adherence, lack of motivation, dropout over time, and poor continuity after the initial “campaign effect”. Prevention and wellbeing programmes need more than information—they need habit formation, behavioural reinforcement, and scalable engagement strategies.
Playmotiv provides a modular engagement layer that can be integrated into existing digital or hybrid health interventions, including apps, platforms, remote monitoring tools, school/community programmes or workplace wellbeing initiatives.
Key capabilities include:
-
Missions & challenges (daily/weekly behavioural goals and micro-actions)
-
Progression systems (levels, rewards, badges, streaks, milestones)
-
Social engagement (team challenges, peer motivation, community dynamics)
-
Microlearning (short content blocks linked to action and reinforcement)
-
Nudges and reminders designed with behaviour change principles
-
Analytics dashboards to track adoption, adherence, completion rates, retention and behavioural outcomes
