AI Technology for Nursing Care Planning in Greece

About
The project aims to ensure that students and nurses will be able to design, implement, and document person‑centred nursing care using clinical reasoning across all nursing specialties and subspecialties. This will be supported using electronic, evidence‑based, nursing taxonomies based and AI‑enhanced documentation systems. A key dimension of the project is the identification and reduction of low-value nursing practices within health and care systems, promoting high-value, person-centred care that improves outcomes and resource use.
To achieve this objective, we aspire to develop an AI‑based documentation platform alongside a structured educational program tailored for both students and clinical nurses. A pilot implementation will be conducted with selected groups of students and clinical nurses to assess the program’s usability, educational impact, and overall effectiveness in real clinical and educational settings.
We are seeking partners with expertise in nursing education, clinical practice, health‑care technology, and digital innovation to join us in developing this AI‑supported documentation and education initiative. Our goal is to co‑design a feasible, sustainable, and scalable model that can be implemented across nursing education and health‑care services in Greece, while simultaneously contributing to national efforts to identify and address low-value nursing care.
We welcome collaboration with faculty members, clinical nurses, educational institutions, technology organizations, and health‑care providers who can contribute knowledge, experience, or technical capacity to this effort. Colleagues or organizations with relevant expertise are warmly invited to partner with us in advancing this important initiative.
