FISABIO - Rare Diseases & Patient Safety Expertise for Horizon Europe Health Projects
Project Manager at FISABIO - Foundation for the Promotion of Health and Biomedical Research of the Valencian Community
Valencia, Spain
About
We represent two complementary public research groups with strong expertise in rare diseases epidemiology and patient safety and healthcare quality. Our combined strengths cover the full pathway from disease surveillance and burden assessment to healthcare delivery, patient safety and health system performance.
Our teams have extensive experience in population-based epidemiology, health registries and surveillance systems, with a particular focus on rare diseases and congenital anomalies, contributing to disease burden analysis, health inequalities research and evidence-based public health policies at regional and European level.
In parallel, we conduct applied research on healthcare quality, patient safety and health services performance, including analysis of care pathways, identification of low-value practices, evaluation of safety cultures and legal and organisational frameworks supporting high-quality and equitable healthcare.
We are particularly interested in collaborating on projects addressing rare diseases (including ERDERA-related initiatives), public health and prevention, health inequalities, patient safety and health system transformation.
