Translational development of patient-centred health technologies

Biomedical Engineer at Inbentus Medical Technology

Murcia, Spain

About

Inbentus Medical technology is a company specialised in the development of advanced respiratory care solutions, combining medical devices, embedded software and data-driven approaches. Our expertise covers the full lifecycle of digital health technologies, from early research and prototyping to regulatory-compliant development and clinical validation.

We have strong experience in:

  • The company has proven experience in European collaborative R&D projects, including Eurostars projects, and is familiar with working in international consortia.

  • Regulatory science for medical devices and software as a medical device (SaMD), including MDR (EU 2017/745), IEC 62304, ISO 14971 and emerging requirements related to AI-based medical systems.

  • Development of data acquisition pipelines and high-resolution physiological datasets from ventilated patients.

  • Design of hybrid digital twins combining physiological lung models and AI to simulate, estimate and predict respiratory mechanics.

  • Translation of research results into clinically meaningful, patient-centred technologies, with a strong focus on safety, traceability and real-world applicability.

Our current interests include participation in collaborative projects addressing:

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-IND-03, contributing regulatory science expertise to support the translational development of patient-centred health technologies.

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2027-03-TOOL-04 (Virtual Human Twins), where we can contribute digital lung twin models, respiratory data, simulation environments and clinical validation strategies.

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-DISEASE-03, particularly in relation to long-term respiratory consequences following infections and advanced monitoring of pulmonary function.

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-CARE-01, supporting innovative, integrated and personalised healthcare solutions through advanced medical devices and digital tools.

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-DISEASE-10, by providing respiratory monitoring and modelling approaches applicable to chronic non-communicable diseases in paediatric populations.

  • HORIZON-HLTH-2027-03-TOOL-08, contributing applied, safety-aware AI systems for healthcare, grounded in real clinical data and regulatory constraints.

We are looking to join consortia as an industrial and clinical-technology partner, contributing expertise in medical device development, regulatory strategy, AI-enabled digital twins, and the translation of advanced research into safe and deployable healthcare solutions.
