About
The Core Unit Digital Medicine and Interoperability at the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin provides expertise in the development of interoperable health data solutions based on international standards such as HL7 FHIR, SNOMED CT, and LOINC. The unit supports the harmonization and standardization of health data from primary clinical systems to enable secondary use in research and healthcare innovation from national to international projects. Its work includes data modeling across key clinical and research domains, including oncology, infection-related data, rare diseases and molecular genetics. Operating within the European Health Data Space (EHDS) context, the unit also addresses specific project needs through the development of tailored, ad hoc standard specifications.
We would be happy to support promising proposals and contribute our expertise as partners for projects in 2026 and 2027.
