Consortium partner looking for HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-DISEASE-11: Understanding of sex and/or gender-specific mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases
Postdoctoral researcher CardioMetabolic diseases at University Medical Center Groningen
Groningen, Netherlands
About
We aim to contribute to a Horizon Europe consortium by investigating novel cellular pathways and protein networks that regulate cholesterol handling in a sex-dependent manner, which influences ASCVD outcomes. We emphasize discovery-driven research that integrates sex as a biological variable at the molecular and cellular levels. Within a collaborative framework, we seek to provide mechanistic insight, experimental or computational analysis, and interpretation of sex-disaggregated data, rather than leading or coordinating the project.
Expected role in the consortium
-
Work package partner focused on discovery and mechanistic research
-
Identification and analysis of sex-specific pathways and proteins within the liver-heart axis
-
Contribution to sex-disaggregated data generation and interpretation
Looking for Partners / Coordinators With
-
Leadership of Horizon Europe health projects
-
Focus on cardiovascular biology, lipid metabolism, and/or sex differences
-
Interest in sex- and gender-sensitive mechanistic research
