Prevention of eating disorders, obesity

Professor at Departement für Psychologie, Universität Fribourg

Fribourg, Switzerland

About

Food choices and the role of food are closely linked to psychological factors. Food intake is the result of information processing of food cues, interacting with impulsivity traits, mood and emotion regulation competencies. Prevention research should focus on the identification of mechanisms supporting a healthy coping with constant exposure to food cues and new health ideals.
