About
We are seeking collaboration opportunities within Horizon Europe Cluster 1 – Health, particularly in projects addressing nutrition, prevention, bioactive compounds, and bio-based health solutions.
Our partner is a biotech manufacturer specialised in algae-derived biopolymers and bio-based formulations, with strong industrial R&D capacity and experience in extracting, purifying and formulating functional compounds from marine biomass. The company focuses on translating bio-based materials into health-relevant, sustainable applications.
Expertise Offered
• Extraction and processing of algae-derived biopolymers and functional compounds
• Development of bio-based formulations for nutritional, preventive and health-related uses
• Industrial-scale bioprocessing and custom formulation development
• Experience with antioxidant, bioactive and carrier materials from marine sources
• Support for sustainable alternatives to synthetic ingredients in health applications
• R&D capacity to adapt bio-based materials to specific health and nutrition use cases
Potential Contribution to Consortium
• Supplying algae-derived bioactive compounds or biopolymers for research and validation
• Co-development of nutrition- or prevention-oriented formulations with research partners
• Supporting work packages related to diet, healthy ageing, metabolic health or prevention
• Contribution to sustainable and circular approaches within health-focused innovation
• Industrial feasibility and scalability of bio-based health solutions
