About

Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) and early brain maturation disorders in newborns are often diagnosed too late. Current clinical tools do not integrate multimodal data in real time.

Main objective is to develop a validated AI-model and a clinical decision-support system for early detection of HIE and neurodevelopmental impairment in infants aged 0–12 months.

The AI-based predictive and diagnostic model will be integrate the amplitude-integrated and standart EEG (a/stEEG), heart rate variability (HRV), General Movements Assessment (GMA), HINE neurological assesement, clinical data.

The project delivers includes the new scientific insights into early brain maturation, the novel technological solution for neonatal care, the digital tool for clinicians and early intervention centers.

The social impact is to reduce disability and mortality, improve neurodevelopment, reduce healthcare burden.
