Professor at TalTech working on thermochemical conversion, combustion, biomass and waste-derived fuels, pyrolysis/gasification, sustainable fuels, hydrogen, fuel characterisation, emissions and energy-system modelling.
Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) is Estonia’s leading university of engineering, technology and innovation, with multidisciplinary research spanning energy, engineering, digital technologies, materials and sustainable development. The Department of Energy Technology conducts research on energy conversion, combustion, thermochemical conversion, sustainable fuels and energy systems, supported by experimental, analytical and modelling capabilities. Relevant research infrastructure includes pilot-scale facilities for fluidised-bed combustion/gasification and pyrolysis, together with fuel and material characterisation and process-analysis capabilities. TalTech participates in international research and innovation programmes and collaborates with academic, industrial and research organisations across Europe and internationally.
Professor in the Department of Energy Technology at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Estonia. My research focuses on combustion processes, thermochemical conversion, sustainable fuels and energy systems, with particular interests in biomass and waste conversion, pyrolysis/gasification, fuel characterisation, reaction and transport processes, emissions and process modelling. I am interested in collaborative R&I projects that connect fundamental understanding, experimental validation and practical energy-system applications.
