I am an Associate Professor at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) with a background in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics and energy systems. My research focuses on modelling, optimization and analysis of integrated energy infrastructures, with particular emphasis on sustainable and low-carbon operation of energy-intensive facilities.
My work combines energy system optimization, thermal systems, renewable integration, energy storage, demand-side flexibility and techno-economic assessment. Recent activities include research on grid-integrated energy infrastructures, carbon-aware operation of data centres, heat recovery, passive cooling technologies and energy system decarbonization.
I am interested in collaborating with academic, industrial and public-sector partners on projects related to integrated energy systems, digitalization and sustainable energy infrastructure development.
