I, Arijit Biswas, currently serve as a Principal Scientist at Tata Steel, where I am actively engaged in research and development initiatives aimed at the decarbonization of the steel industry. My work spans several cutting-edge domains, including hydrogen-based technologies, Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS), and Carbon Direct Avoidance (CDA) and integration in steel industry by deploying simulation and LCA approaches.
Over the course of my career, I have successfully led multiple projects from laboratory-scale research to pilot-scale implementation, achieving Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7.1 in areas such as hydrogen generation and industrial waste valorization. With nearly 14 years of national and international experience, my expertise encompasses iron and steel production, ferroalloys, and copper manufacturing processes.
I remain committed to driving sustainable innovation and contributing to the transformation of the steel industry toward a low-carbon future.
