I am Dr. Mekonnen Gebeyaw Alebel (Assistance professor). I am 31 years old. I have made my PhD in plant breeding and genetics at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia
Dr. Mekonnen Gebeyaw was born on July 16, 1993 G.C in Jabi Tehenan Woreda, West Gojjam Zone, Amhara Regional State, Ethiopia. He attended his Elementary education at Zeguy primary school (grade 8), secondary education at Damot Secondary School (grade 9 and 10) and then attended his higher preparatory education at Damot High School (grade 11 and 12). Then he joined Debre Markose University in October 2014 G.C and graduated with a BSc degree in plant science in 2016 G.C. Following his graduation, in July 2016, he took an entrance exam prepared by the Ethiopian Ministry of Education for graduate assistance for the newly opened 4th generation universities. In 2016, he continued his MSc study at Haramaya University in Seed Science and Technology, and he has completed his MSc degree studies in 2018. Starting from July 16, 2018, he has been employed as a lecturer at Mekdela Amba University and he has served from 2018 to 2020. In November 2021, he has started his Ph.D. study and published two articles in peer-reviewed journals and the other two are under review. Now he has graduated with the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant breeding and Genetics at the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Department of Plant Sciences, Bahir Dar University. Currently he has been serving as a Lecturer, Researcher and Community server in the Department of Plant Science at MEkdela Amba University, Ethiopia.
