About me

ALFREDO ORTIZ SAINZ DE AJA is a Full Professor in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at the University of Cantabria

(Spain). Within the research group Advanced Separation Processes, he leads the research lines focused on hydrogen technologies, including purification units, electrolyzers, and fuel cells for mobile

and stationary applications. He has participated in 40 research projects, coordinating three European projects based on hydrogen, 71 articles in highimpact journals (h-index=32), authored 4 book chapters, and presented results at over 110 international conferences. He is the co-author of one patent and has co-supervised 9 Ph.D. theses.
