Nuria Fuertes is a Specialist and Research Coordinator at Swerim, the Swedish Institute for Metal Research in Stockholm, where she focuses on the interaction between hydrogen gas and metals. She leads major projects involving steel manufacturers and end-users from the automotive, hydrogen storage and transport, and process industry, aiming to investigate the impact of hydrogen gas on material degradation. Prior to this role, Nuria was the manager of research group dedicated to studying corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement at Swerim. She holds a PhD in corrosion of stainless steels from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
