I am Michel de Ruiter, recognized in the industry as "The GraphenePioneer." My career is dedicated to the practical industrialization of graphene and 2D materials to solve critical global challenges in construction, energy, and water security.

I am a pioneer driven by the "blue ocean" of possibilities that advanced materials offer. My mission is to unleash the disruptive potential of graphene to radically improve human life while significantly reducing our environmental footprint. From securing high-purity graphite concessions in Zimbabwe to establishing R&D hubs in Egypt, I am building a vertically integrated future where sustainable technology is accessible to all.

I am an adventurer at heart. My work takes me from industrial boardrooms to the Siwa Oasis, where I am restoring ancient traditional architecture using our advanced materials, and deep into the Zimbabwean bush to mine the minerals that make these innovations possible. I approach every project with a blend of technical mastery, global curiosity, and a relentless commitment to results. I believe the most impactful innovations are born from a willingness to explore the unknown and a refusal to accept the status quo.
