Offer a testbed to engage citizens in the energy transition
Assistant Professor at Intelligent Human-Buildings Interaction Lab, Umea University
Sweden
About
We are the research team from Intelligent Human-Buildings Interactions (IHBI) lab, at Umeå University. The IHBI lab is a testbed to engage and involve the citizens in the energy transition. The citizens are the end-users of our energy systems and built environments, who have obvious influences on the energy transition and should be taken into account. The lab is equipped with a well-established infrastructure, including Immersive Built Environments, Database-Driven Modelling, and Intelligent Indoor Environments, to explore the interaction between built environments and humans. The IHBI lab has ongoing research projects from EU Horizon H2020, the Swedish Energy Agency, and the Swedish Research Agency Formas, on energy-efficient renovation and their sociotechnical impacts. The lab has been awarded IVA's 100 List 2023: Swedish Innovations with great potential, by The Academy of Engineering Sciences Sweden. The lab enables us to unlock the physical lab's boundaries and observe citizens’ responses in an immersive, informative and deeply engaged lab environment. More information can be referred to: https://www.umu.se/en/research/groups/intelligent-human-buildings-interaction-lab/ Our research team are looking for a consortium. The IHBI team can participate in your proposal and especially contribute to the research on citizens' involvement in the energy transition. Looking forward to your contact (kailun.feng@umu.se.
