About

Our CCUS team at German Aerospace Center i.e. DLR's Institute of Low-Carbon Industrial Processes wants to join — or help form — a consortium. What we bring:

🔹 Validated rate-based models of CO₂ capture (Aspen Plus) and Direct Air Capture — digital shadows of the real process.

🔹 Heat-pump-integrated, electrified capture that recycles waste heat and cuts external steam demand (amine & aqueous ammonia).

🔹 Whole-chain CCU process simulation and optimal retrofitting of capture to local CO₂ sources.

Our idea: a free online screening tool that gives any emitter site-specific capture cost and energy demand for their own flue gas — powered by surrogate models trained on rigorous rate-based simulations. Nothing like it exists today. For hardware-focused consortia, it turns a single demonstration into EU-wide market visibility.
