R&D Cooperation in Smart Electricity Systems, Distributed Generation and Intelligent Energy Management
About
Project opportunity: Intelligent Electricity Generation and Consumption Management
About Tormesh Solutions
Tormesh Solutions is an engineering and energy company interested in developing innovative technologies to improve how electricity is generated, managed, distributed and consumed, particularly in industrial environments.
R&D objectives
We aim to establish a collaborative R&D project to develop advanced solutions for the intelligent coordination of electricity generation and consumption, improving energy efficiency, operational flexibility and the integration of distributed energy resources.
The project may address the following technological challenges:
-
Intelligent energy management systems: development of control architectures to coordinate electricity generation, consumption and storage in real time.
-
Predictive optimisation: algorithms using energy demand forecasts, generation forecasts, electricity prices and operational constraints to optimise energy decisions.
-
Distributed generation integration: intelligent management of photovoltaic systems and other distributed electricity generation technologies.
-
Energy storage and flexibility: coordinated operation of batteries, flexible loads and other resources to reduce costs and adapt consumption to electricity availability.
-
Demand response: dynamic adjustment of electricity consumption in response to grid conditions, energy prices or external flexibility signals.
-
Grid interaction: development of strategies to improve the interaction between industrial facilities, distributed energy resources and electricity networks.
-
Digitalisation and data analytics: monitoring, modelling and performance assessment of integrated electricity systems.
Partners sought
We are looking for universities, research centres, software developers, control and automation specialists, power electronics companies, battery and energy storage technology providers, renewable energy developers and industrial companies willing to participate in collaborative R&D.
Partners may contribute expertise in power systems, optimisation algorithms, artificial intelligence, forecasting, embedded control, energy markets, simulation, hardware development or pilot demonstrations.
Expected cooperation
The objective is to define and implement a collaborative R&D project, from system modelling and algorithm development to prototype implementation and validation in relevant operational environments.
We are interested in exploring national and European funding opportunities and building a consortium with complementary technical capabilities and clear industrial applications.
Expected impact
The intended outcomes include improved coordination between electricity generation and demand, lower energy costs, increased integration of renewable electricity, enhanced system flexibility and scalable solutions for industrial energy management.
We welcome discussions with potential partners interested in jointly defining the technical scope, work packages, demonstrators and funding strategy.
