About

Our team offers modelling and design capabilities that align with the actual projects . These projects highlight the critical needs in this call: dynamic renewable hydrogen production, carrier fuel handling, stability/ corrosion, and readiness for demonstration.

We specialize in CFD with ANSYS Fluent and OpenFOAM, enabling:

  • High-fidelity simulations of hydrogen / ammonia mixing, cracking, spray evaporation, turbulence–chemistry coupling, and ignition/detonation risk.

  • Custom solver adaptation in OpenFOAM for novel carrier fuels, including materials interaction and transient behavior under variable input (e.g., solar fluctuations).

  • Integration of CFD results into digital twins and reduced-order models for pilot operation, control, and predictive maintenance.

  • System-level design linking renewable input, production, storage, carrier conversion (e.g. ammonia), and end-use.

  • Safety & security risk analysis (leaks, ignition, hazard maps) required by the call.

  • Techno-economic modeling and scenario analysis to support pilot scale and funding impact.

  • Support for SSH/stakeholder engagement through summarised simulation insights relevant to deployment and public acceptance.

We seek to partner with pilot facilities, materials/catalyst developers, industrial operators, regional energy actors, and deployment networks. In a consortium, we can lead or support:

  • WP: Modelling & Digital Twin, with validated CFD, twin prototype, operator tools.

  • Safety/risk tasks for hydrogen / ammonia systems.

  • System integration & cost sensitivity work packages aligned with demonstration scaling.

  • Materials stability tasks in biofuel or carrier environments.

By tying our offering to real project themes under CM2025-05, we demonstrate our knowledge of the ecosystem and readiness to contribute impactful, demonstration-level modelling and system integration.
