As Gülnar Municipality, the overall goals of our project are to increase the use of renewable energy in municipal buildings to reduce electricity costs and redirect the saved budget towards public services. From a commercial perspective, we aim to establish a sustainable system that generates its own electricity, sells surplus power to generate income, and reinvests this income back into the community.
As part of our project, a small-scale energy technologies workshop will also be established. This workshop will enable on-site maintenance and repair processes, while fostering the development of technical knowledge and skills within the district.
20 kWp photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof of the municipal market. This system will be equipped with high-efficiency panels and smart monitoring units, allowing real-time monitoring of energy production, consumption, and excess energy fed into the grid. The energy technology workshop will enhance local capacity by providing maintenance and repair services, extending the lifespan of equipment, and offering technical training.
Our project aligns directly with the objectives of the call, which include increasing renewable energy use, improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, creating local employment, and encouraging the exchange of best practices among municipalities.
