About

KIRCASALİH BELEDİYESİ

Our project aims to meet the energy needs of the drinking water treatment plant in our municipality by utilizing renewable energy sources, specifically solar energy. In line with our municipality’s strategic goals for sustainability and energy efficiency, we aim to reduce environmental impact and costs by supplying the energy required for the drinking water treatment plant through solar power.

Project Scope:

  1. Solar Energy System Installation:

    • A solar energy system with a capacity of approximately 43 kWp will be installed on a 240 square meter rooftop to supply a large portion of the plant’s annual electricity consumption.

    • This system will provide nearly 90% of the plant’s energy needs, ensuring that most of the electricity used by the facility comes from renewable sources.

  2. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability:

    • The project will significantly reduce carbon emissions, minimizing negative environmental impacts.

    • Energy costs will be reduced, generating important savings for the municipal budget.

    • This implementation is expected to serve as an example for other municipalities, encouraging local governments to adopt sustainable energy solutions.

  3. Technical Infrastructure and System Integration:

    • The project involves the installation of a battery-supported, hybrid inverter system, ensuring energy supply both through solar energy production and grid assistance.

    • Grid-connected operation will allow continuous monitoring of energy production and consumption, optimizing system efficiency based on local conditions.

    • Energy storage systems will allow excess energy produced during sunny hours to be stored and used during non-sunny hours.

  4. Data Monitoring and Realistic Model Development:

    • After installation, energy production and consumption will be continuously monitored, and the system’s efficiency will be assessed based on the gathered data.

    • A realistic model will be developed based on field data, providing guidance for future projects and continuous improvements.

  5. International Collaboration and Scalability:

    • Our project aligns with the focus of the CM2025-02 module under the CET-Partnership 2025 call, which covers renewable energy production, storage, and system integration.

    • The project will be carried out in collaboration with partners from different countries, thus meeting the multinational cooperation objectives of the call.

    • The successful implementation of this project will serve as an example for other municipalities and offer a scalable model for both domestic and international technology companies.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Sustainable energy usage will reduce environmental impact while achieving economic savings.

  • Energy efficiency in municipal services will be enhanced, and this implementation will serve as an example of environmentally responsible municipal governance.

  • Technological innovation will create new business opportunities and partnerships for both local and foreign technology companies.
