CM2025-06 Heating and cooling technologies
About
District heating and cooling is the backbone of our climate ambitions and provides multitudes of options and linkages to other energy sectors and decarbonization. An intelligent combination of technologies, concepts, digitalization, stakeholder integration and business models are important elements for a successful DHC systems.
AEE INTEC develops, demonstrates and optimizes (among other topics) supply concepts for district heating and cooling or integrated energy concepts. Simulations, intelligent data evaluation and spatial planning tools are valuable instruments that we are constantly developing further to meet the growing complexity of our energy system. In addition to digitization and (thermal) storage and generation technologies, the integration of other energy systems such as electricity and gas networks as well as infrastructures such as wastewater and mobility offer enormous potential for making a turnaround in heating and cooling technically, ecologically, economically and socially sustainable. Furthermore, AEE INTEC is working on transformation plans for DHC systems. In scope of CM2025-06 we are offering our expertise and participation in related project ideas.
