Hydrogen evolution reaction and electrolyzer scale-up
About
My group and I are willing to produce an anion exchange membrane-based hydrogen electrolyzer with non-precious materials.
We are producing 2D materials and can exfoliate them chemically to use as a cathode component in the hydrogen electrolyzer. We have had some progress on its use in acidic conditions for hydrogen evolution, and we are also waiting for interesting achievements in alkaline conditions through anion exchange membranes.
Our goal will be to scale up a hydrogen electrolyzer reaching 0.5A/cm2 below 2 V at the end of the project.
