AquaConnect+ – Smart & Resilient Energy Landscapes in Coastal Municipalities

We are developing the CETPartnership project AquaConnect+, targeting the Call Module CM2025-09: Clean Energy Integration in the Built Environment.

The project aims to transform coastal municipalities into active agents in the clean energy transition by integrating:

• Digitalised energy management systems,

• Building-integrated renewables and storage (electricity, heat, e-mobility),

• Smart renovation and prefabricated retrofitting solutions.

Our pilot municipality is located in a coastal lagoon ecosystem, combining urban density with environmental vulnerability — an ideal case for system-level demonstration.

We are looking for the following partners:

• Research institutions (TRL 3→6 expertise, LCA, BIM)

• SMEs or start-ups (tech solutions for active buildings / storage / façade tech)

• Public authorities / municipalities (for replicability and policy impact)

• Industry partners (digital twins, energy management platforms)

• Cluster networks and innovation ecosystems

The project addresses Challenge 1 (energy integration) and Challenge 2 (digitalisation) of the Call Module. We seek at least 2 more beneficiary partners from EU/HE countries.
