The Ecole Nationale Superieure Polytechnique de Yaounde (ENSPY) is a public engineering school and constituent institution of the University of Yaounde I, Cameroon, re-established by Decree No. 2020/275 of 11 May 2020, with origins dating back to 1971. ENSPY trains engineers and senior technical cadres across Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and Mathematics and Physics.
The school's engineering curriculum is accredited by the Commission des Titres d'Ingenieur (CTI, France/EU), and its Sciences de l'Ingenieur programme is accredited by HCERES. ENSPY hosts several research infrastructures, including CURES (a joint laboratory with Polytechnique Montreal and EPFL), the High Tech Center for advanced mechatronics and prototyping, and a World Bank-funded Centre of Excellence in ICT.
Within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, ENSPY hosts the SAPIOTECH research team, working on telecommunications and network optimisation, cybersecurity, AI and IoT for sustainable development, and digital governance, with a strong focus on sub-Saharan African deployment contexts. ENSPY is also the home institution for MASTIOT, an AUF-accredited International Master's programme in the Internet of Things deployed across 15 Francophone African countries, coordinating academic and technical capacity-building across Central and West Africa.
ENSPY maintains active international research collaborations with institutions in Italy, Portugal, Austria, Finland, and Canada, and has ongoing engagement with COST Actions and Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions under Horizon Europe.
