cyber.eeTartu, EstoniaData-06 Call: We can contribute to Area 2 via deployment and extension of our modular, privacy-preserving synthetic data generation framework (SynthGuard). Currently at TRL 6 and validated in EU projects such as TEADAL and LAGO, SynthGuard enables programmable synthetic data workflows that combine generative models, rule-based synthesis, and hybrid approaches. These workflows support data curation, labelling, annotation, and quality control, while preserving statistical correlations, causal structures, and user-defined patterns. This makes the solution particularly suitable for regulated domains (e.g., finance, identity, energy, mobility), where real data sharing is constrained but high-quality, semantically rich datasets are essential for AI development and cross-sector interoperability within Common European Data Spaces.
We also have significant experience in privacy-preserving technologies, primarily through the deployment of cryptographic methods such as multi-party computation and trusted execution environments: Privacy Enhancing Technologies for the processing of mobile positioning data collected from the Mobile Network Operator infrastructure https://cros.ec.europa.eu/project-ESTAT-2019-0232 Joint On-demand COmputation with No Data Exchange https://cros.ec.europa.eu/joconde
Cybernetica are pioneers in the field of cybersecurity, data exchange, digital identity and secure data analytics. Cybernetica invented x-road, which is the digital backbone for of the e-Estonia ecosystem. We also led development of the Estonian e-voting system. Our In-house research group also conducts cutting edge research on current and future challenges such as the need to develop sovereign and secure digital infrastructure (digital twins, common data space architecture, etc.) and Post Quantum Cryptography.
