I'm an AI consultant helping international organizations deploy machine learning systems that inform policy and operational decisions. My work focuses on making AI practical and reliable in complex, real-world environments, particularly in international development and public sector contexts.
I currently consult for UNICEF teams across West and Central Africa, where I develop two main types of systems: document intelligence solutions that extract structured information from multilingual government documents, and predictive analytics models that forecast supply chain and operational challenges. These systems are designed to work in low-resource settings where typical AI solutions often fail.
I also have served as an independent evaluator and an expert for the European Commission, working on AI projects.
My approach combines technical implementation with deep understanding of how organizations actually use data. I focus on systems that teams can trust and adopt, not just proof-of-concepts that never leave the lab.
Background: PhD in AI (IMT Lucca), MSc in Behavioural Economics (UCD). Based in Dublin.
Expertise: Document analysis, RAG, forecasting, multilingual NLP, policy analytics, machine learning deployment in development contexts.
