Established in 2005, the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED) is a leading Greek non-profit organization committed to advancing innovation, fostering entrepreneurship, and driving systemic change towards inclusive and sustainable growth. It is a certified leading Center of Excellence in European Entrepreneurship and a fast-growing Digital Innovation Hub, operating at the junction of policy, practice, and digital transformation. With operational offices in Greece, the headquarters in Larissa (Thessaly) and the branch in Ioannina (Epirus), as well as in Cyprus, and Estonia, iED s a driving force for policy innovation, transnational cooperation, and entrepreneurial empowerment throughout Europe and beyond. 

Over the 20 years of our impactful activity, iED has successfully designed, implemented, and disseminated more than 400 European and National projects across diverse Financial Frameworks, including Horizon, Erasmus+, DIGITAL EUROPE, CERV, ERDF, COSME, INTERREG, Creative Europe etc. Our experience is progressively equipping us with a unique perspective into the practical aspects of the implementation of large-scale co-funding projects, making us a solid and trustworthy European project partner and leader. It has also provided us with a robust ecosystem of over 4,200 strategic partners spanning public, private, academic, and civil society sectors. 

iED is the Coordinator of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) “Health Hub: Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Industry Transformation through Artificial Intelligence Digital Services”. Health Hub acts as a one-stop-shop that supports companies in the Health & Pharma sector to boost their outreach, precision, innovation and networking efforts, partnering in their digital transformational journeys.  

Furthermore, as a founding member of the national Competence Center PYTHeIA, in Greece, iED supports and promotes innovative digital solutions by upgrading, reinforcing and accelerating the integration of digital culture at the health value chain. 

Accredited as a Lifelong Learning Centre (under the license number IN.AN.EP. K.D.B.M. | 2459094), iED delivers high-quality, tailored vocational training programs that align with European policy priorities and project-specific capacity-building objectives. This enhances its capacity to act not only as a policy actor and innovation facilitator but also as a Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider, offering targeted upskilling pathways across various economic and social domains. 

iED is proud to be awarded as “EU Project Management Specialists of the Year” in Corporative Live Wire INNOVATION & EXCELLENCE Awards 2021 and as “Most Innovative EU Project Management Specialists” in Small Business Awards 2020. We have also won four more awards in Inclusive Entrepreneurship, Innovation for Inclusion, Best Practice for European Project and HR Development.
