Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association

General Secretariat of Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (İMMİB), founded in 1986, is a professional establishment in affiliation with Ministry of Trade, Republic of Türkiye incorporating 6 exporters’ associations within its body.

İMMİB carries out an outstanding role representing around 83.000 member companies who produce and/or export almost all kinds of minerals, natural stones, chemicals and chemical products (Plastics etc.), ferrous and nonferrous metals (Aluminium etc.), Steel, electrical/electronics, and many more.

ü  R&D and Innovation Center for Steel

Steel Exporters’ Association (sub-association of İMMİB) has been establishing “R&D and Innovation Center for Steel” in Istanbul with the financial support of Istanbul Development Agency under national funds. R&D and Innovation Center will provide services to steel sector and make contribution to competitiveness of the sector. Center aims to do continuous research and development projects intended for increasing range of steel product qualities, cost reduction, increasing quality, improving university and industry cooperation by collaborations with SME’s, Government Agencies, Universities, other Research Institues, Manufacturing Companies, Non-Governmental Organizations.

Aluminum Testing Training and Research Center

Aluminum Testing Training and Research Center known as ALUTEAM, which carries out its activities as a testing, training and research center, is nourished by the efficiency arising from the combination of the research capacity provided by the academy and the production experience of the business world. With their investments in additive manufacturing technologies, a significant production and research capacity, especially in aluminum additive manufacturing has been gained.

Rapid Prototyping Center

Rapid Prototyping Center has been established to introduce exporter firms with latest prototyping technologies which help improve product design and catch design errors before production on purpose of saving money and time with the financial support of Istanbul Development Agency.

İMMİBis a professional organization with public entity as “one-stop shop” between the industry and public institutions. It develops co-operations and projects with local and international institutions and organizes training courses, seminars and meetings to inform member firms and individuals who are willing to work in related sectors about sectoral developments and regulations. IMMIB has strong connections with public institutions, universities, chambers of commerce and industry, NGOs and related stakeholders to achieve their aims.
