Faculty of Information Technology, Polytechnic University of Tirana

The Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) is a Public Institution of Higher Education, based in Tirana, which extends its educational and scientific activity within the borders of the Republic of Albania, offers full-time studies in three cycles and aims to prepare specialists and scientists in engineering fields. The scientific institutions of the country find in FTI a serious and dedicated partner for the preparation of projects and other scientific works for the benefit of the country. Businesses in the field of Telecommunications and Information Technology cooperating with FTI have the opportunity to apply the latest achievements of science and technology in their businesses, increasing production and work efficiency and reducing cost. The Faculty of Information Technology offers three levels of study: Bachelor, Master and Doctorate. The mission of FTI, as the main unit of UPT, based on the Statute of the Polytechnic University of Tirana, is to create, transmit, develop and protect knowledge through teaching, scientific research and services, as well as to train senior specialists and to prepare young scientists in the fields of Information Technology: Telecommunications, Computer Engineering and Electronic Engineering based on contemporary, qualified and suitable educational programs for the labor market in Albania and other Western countries. The vision of FTI is to make a new qualitative step in the education of senior specialists in Albania, for engineering and scientific training in the field of Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering and Electronics, to design, produce and managed in the relevant fields, as well as in solving the most complex technical problems in the country and abroad.
