MedITech 4.0 - Mediterranean Competence Centre 4 Innovation is the multi-regional Competence Centre, active in Puglia and Campania, created to facilitate the adoption of Industry 4.0 enabling technologies by SMEs and public administrations and to be a tool for disseminating the culture and practices of innovation in the production of goods and services throughout Italy, particularly in the Mediterranean basin.   

The Competence Center, selected in 2018 by the Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) among eight centers of national importance, is a public-private partnership that provides guidance and training to businesses on Industry 4.0 issues, as well as supporting the implementation of innovation, industrial research, and experimental development projects aimed at enabling user companies, particularly SMEs, to create new products, processes, or services (or improve them) through advanced Industry 4.0 technologies. The services offered are also aimed at public administrations, a key player in the digital transition.  

Meditech relies on the collaboration of 5 universities in Campania, 3 universities in Puglia, and 21 cutting-edge industrial players.
