About
Laurea University of Applied Sciences is a multidisciplinary higher education institution in the Helsinki region, Finland, with over 11,000 students. Laurea integrates education, research, and innovation through its award-winning Learning by Developing (LbD) model, which combines applied research and student participation in real-world development projects.
As a founding member of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL), Laurea is a pioneer in human-centered and ecosystemic digitalization, leveraging co-creation, service design, and ecosystemic governance to tackle societal challenges. Its three research programmes focus on sustainable well-being, service business and circular economy, and coherent security, all underpinned by strong expertise in participatory methods and impact assessment.
