Project Idea Check for Horizon Europe call topics in 2027

Your National Contact Point (NCP) provides a bunch of useful services, all of them for free.

One of the services you should make use of early on is the chance to discuss your project idea with your NCP to make sure you find the best call topic to apply to with this idea. Within the Ideal-ist NCP network we call this kind of service a "Project Idea Check" or "Pre-Proposal Check".

How to use this free service

1. Download the Project Idea Check template provided by Ideal-ist (see below).

2. Fill in as much of the requested information as possible.

3. Identify your National Contact Point (NCP) responsible for digital call topics in Horizon Europe Cluster 4. If you do not know who that might be, go to the Ideal-ist website where we list most of them (click here).

4. Send the filled-in template to your NCP and request a meeting with them or some written feedback on your idea (whichever you prefer).

5. Your NCP will get back to you and can help you identify a suitable call topic in Horizon Europe Cluster 4. They can also give you guidance on what your next steps should be once the call topic has been identified.

6. If a different programme part within Horizon Europe or an entirely different funding programme is more suitable, the Cluster 4 NCP can also point you in the direction of equivalent support services for this programme / programme part.
