About

Develop, test and validate on a large scale an integrated ‘FLOOD-TWIN’ system — consisting of a local Digital Twin powered by AI algorithms — that enables urban and river flood forecasting at building scale, quantification of expected damage, and support for planning and emergency response decisions, in open source mode and transferable to low connectivity contexts.

Geocart produces and processes EO data (aerial photogrammetry, LiDAR, SAR, multispectral), develops WebGIS and DSS platforms, and has consolidated experience in infrastructure monitoring and natural risk management.

Who we are looking for:

-University/Hydrological research institute (TBD) IT/EU Academia WP3 leader. Expertise in hydrological and hydraulic modeling, HEC-RAS/LISFLOOD, model calibration on historical data.

-AI/ML partner (SME or university spin-off) (TBD) EU SME/Academia WP3 co-leader. Development of frugal AI algorithms, machine learning on geospatial data, optimization for edge computing.

-SME Software / GeoTech (TBD) EU SME WP4 leader. DSS interface development, UI/UX design for non-technical users, integration with EDIC platforms.

-River basin authority / Civil Protection (end-user IT) (TBD) IT Public body WP5 co-leader. Primary end-user, co-design of DSS, provision of historical flood data, pilot validation.

-Local authority / Civil Protection (EU end-user) (TBD) EU Public body WP5 co-leader. Secondary end-user (second country), cross-context validation, contribution to transferability.
