About
The Graz Center for Machine Learning (GraML) is a research center at Graz University of Technology (TUG) that brings together principal investigators and their research groups to work collaboratively to understand the foundations of ML, develop new ML methods, and apply ML to applications in various domains. Our connection to ELLIS via the ELLIS Unit Graz and our visibility as a cross-institutional research center make us an excellent candidate for the selected call.
Our ambition is to enter a strong consortium and develop, together, an agenda for developing a science for AI that goes beyond incremental method improvements. Our portfolio spans a large number of topics (see Expertise from our profile page) -- at the same time, our research groups are large enough to make substantial contributions in their respective fields.
As a partner in such a consortium, we contribute not only our scientific excellence, but also our experience in conducting European projects.
