About

This opportunity is centered on the development and understanding of defect-engineered colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals as quantum light sources and spin-based quantum systems. The research focuses on introducing and controlling optically active point defects and dopants (transition-metal and rare-earth ions) in colloidal nanocrystals to realize single-photon emission, long-lived spin states, and spin–photon interfaces.
