Incorporated in November 2020 and based in the Pyrenees (Castejón de Sos, Benasque Valley), THE MINDKIND is a Spanish startup focused on researching and developing Algorithmic Artificial General Intelligence (AAGI) technology. Our core innovation is the "Behavioral Engine" — a software component designed to enable machines to learning how to learn, reason, make decisions, and behave in a human-like manner. As a transversal technology, the Behavioral Engine can be integrated via SaaS/API into a wide range of electronic systems, including robots, smartphones, personal assistants, autonomous vehicles, space exploration devices, intelligent switchboards, and video games (NPCs and virtual avatars). We are initially targeting the video game sector for commercialization due to its safety, speed, affordability, ease of integration, and potential for rapid growth. Currently, we are already commercializing a machine-learning technology called ETR 0.5, a fully traceable and explainable alternative to traditional black-box machine-learning systems. ETR 0.5 emerged as a byproduct of our primary research and is part of our AGI-ETR Cognitive Architecture. Our technology is rooted in basic research in Affective Neuroscience, initiated and funded since 2005 by our founder, Mario Garcés. This research has culminated in the development of a novel Cognitive Architecture known as ETR, which has been validated by technical experts from organizations such as CDTI, ITAINNOVA, DGA, the Spanish Ministry of Science, and the EU EIC Accelerator. Agents powered by ETR technology will be capable of realistic interaction, cooperation, and collaboration with both human and non-human agents across multi-device and multi-platform environments. All proprietary knowledge is currently protected under applicable Trade Secret laws.
