My organisation

The Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial is a Joint Research Center of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). The Institute has three main objectives: to promote fundamental research in Robotics and Applied Informatics, to cooperate with the community in industrial technological projects, and to offer scientific education through graduate courses. About me

I have has coordinated, led or contributed to multiple nationally and internationally funded projects (MCINN, H2020, CHIST-ERA, COST, ERC), and I have been the recipient of prestigious internationally fellowships including the Humboldt, Ramón y Cajal, and Marie Curie. My publication record includes over 60 peer-reviewed papers in top journals and conferences (ICCV, EMNLP, IROS, CHI, TIP, PR), with an h-index of 22. I am an Associate Editor of IEEE TCSVT and Area Chair for major AI conferences.

My current interests align with Horizon Europe Cluster 4 topics in AI, robotics, multimodal foundation models, long-term reasoning, human-centric intelligent systems, and Ambient Assisted Living.
