EDF-2026-DA-ENERENV-HPES-STEP: High-performance energy systems
About
A strong, industry-led consortium is preparing the HPES – High-Performance Energy Systems proposal for the EDF‑2026‑DA‑ENERENV‑HPES‑STEP call.
Our aim is not to over‑engineer niche prototypes, but to select proven civil and military green energy technologies (solar, wind, hydrogen, synthetic fuels, high‑C‑rate batteries) and harden, integrate, and qualify them into a scalable, software‑defined energy grid that can follow the mission from Forward Operating Bases to Mobile Operating Bases.
The work is structured in nine tightly connected Work Packages, fully aligned with EDF activity types, and with a strict rule: >50 % of each partner’s funding must go into prototyping, testing, and qualification.
Why a Ukrainian partner?
The war in Ukraine has rewritten the book on robotic warfare and distributed energy logistics. We have reserved some activities for Ukrainian test, qualification, and in‑field validation activities, ensuring that the HPES system is hardened by real‑world experience, not only by laboratory specifications. We are looking for an experienced Ukrainian company that can contribute to system integration, field testing, container prototyping, and the qualification pipeline – and in doing so, help shape a truly deployable European military energy backbone.
If your organisation has hands‑on knowledge of energy supply in high‑threat, dispersed operations, we would be delighted to discuss your participation.
