About
SESAM is a multidisciplinary research center at Sakarya University specializing in the socio-economic and administrative dimensions of sustainable systems. Our center provides high-impact consumer insights, producer-side market orientation, and data-driven strategies to bridge the gap between organic supply and demand through advanced academic and applied research.
What We Offer (Proposed Contributions)
Develop, test, and validate a multi-layered ‘Organic-Market Insight’ framework—consisting of mixed-methods behavioral modeling (SEM) and neurophysiological data—that enables the identification of consumer trust barriers, optimization of organic food marketing strategies, and the alignment of producer motivations with market expectations.
SESAM offers a robust research infrastructure and a specialized multidisciplinary team capable of:
-
Demand-Side Analysis: Quantifying organic purchase intentions, knowledge gaps, and "organic confusion" using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).
-
Supply-Side Dynamics: Qualitative mapping of organic producer challenges, market orientation, and transition motivations via NVivo.
-
Neuromarketing Collaboration: Utilizing neurophysiological measures (Eye-tracking, EEG, etc.) to bypass self-reporting bias in food labeling and sustainability claims.
-
Pilot Region & Data Access: Providing a strategic pilot context in Turkey (EU candidate country) with deep access to organic producer networks and diverse consumer segments for cross-border scalability.
