About
Robotic Perception is seeking to join a Horizon Europe Cluster 6 consortium as a technology partner / SME with our validated SPERO – a patented robotic AI-driven ultra-low-volume electric spraying system.
The SPERO was developed in previous Horizon calls, and has been validated by the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture to provide good spray coverage in vineyards at ~150 litters/hectare, compared to 700-1000 litters/hectare in standard market sprayers. This patented electric sprayer reduces the use of pesticides, water, power consumption and CO2 emissions. It also reduces down time and operational costs. It has single-nozzle precision actuation control to apply pesticides according to a pre-defined plan, and includes logging capabilities with georeferenced agronomic data.
The platform has been validated by the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and has demonstrated pesticide-use reductions of >80% while maintaining equivalent crop protection efficacy.
We are now aiming to collaborate within a European consortium to expand the system toward:
• Pesticide resistance mitigation and adaptive management
• Early detection of declining treatment efficacy
• AI-driven resistance foresight and predictive modelling
• Spatially variable treatment strategies and substance rotation
• Large-scale EU roll-out
The system will generate continuous, high-resolution datasets linking treatment, dosage, timing, and crop response. These datasets enable:
• Reduced selection pressure for resistance
• Early-warning indicators for resistance emergence
• Evidence-based advisory tools
• Data-driven resistance governance aligned with EU Farm-to-Fork and Zero Pollution objectives
Robotic Perception brings validated field technology, AI expertise, and importantly successful Horizon Grant proposal experience. We are ready and eager to contribute to proposal writing, technical work package leadership, field trials, and system integration activities within Cluster 6 projects addressing pesticide resistance, sustainable crop protection, and digital agriculture.
