FARM2FORK-05: Case study on integrated crop–livestock systems
Director - Europe Department at Acta - Les Instituts techniques agricoles
Paris, France
About
Our case study territory illustrates how integrated crop–livestock systems can offer concrete solutions by valorising locally available biomass, crop residues and agro-industrial co-products, while delivering ecosystem services and additional income streams.
We can coordinate a multi-actor case study, mobilising farmers, livestock keepers, cooperatives, advisors, processors, territorial stakeholders and public authorities.
The case study would support the development and validation of tools and monitoring frameworks to assess environmental, economic and social performance of diversified and circular livestock systems, including impacts on nutrient loops, input use, biodiversity, labour organisation, income stability and risk management. Particular attention would be paid to grazing-based systems that optimise the use of non-harvested biomass and contribute to circular resource use at farm and territorial scales.
