EU Policy and Communication Officer at PEFC - the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification

About
PEFC, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, is a leading global alliance of national forest certification systems. As an international non-profit, non-governmental organization, we are dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management through independent third-party certification.
Beyond certification of sustainable forest management, PEFC is interested in engaging with rural youth (men and women alike) to increase their interest in developing a career in the forestry sector, including by providing support to rural youth to develop their forest-related small and medium enterprises. A regranting programme for young foresters will support the implementation of sustainable forest management practices and development of businesses working on the first, second, or third transformation of timber.
PEFC is looking to step into a broad and scientifically robust project consortium.
