HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-CIRCBIO-08: Supporting pre-normative research for standardization of the bio-based products
Product Manager at NPK Recovery
Bristol, United Kingdom
About
We have been encouraged by the P2Green project and Sanitation 360s progress in bringing urine derived fertilisers closer to market in the EU, with a specific focus on recovered phosphorous. The P2Green project is remarkable, and has made huge progress towards bio-based and circular solutions - fertiliser from human waste. For the past 2 years, we have been working on urine to fertiliser systems in the UK, and hope to join or form a consortium that can identify gaps and relevant research to further accelerate nutrients recovered from urine getting their own Component Material Category (CMC) and being standardised under the fertilising products regulation. This could include, for example, pre normative research into contaminants, to contribute to setting standards in this area.
