Tackling pesticide resistance: early detection, management strategies, and foresight
Associate researcher at INRAT
Tunis, Tunisia
About
I am interested in studying the risk of fungicide resistance development in major legume and cereal diseases. This includes monitoring pathogen populations for sensitivity shifts, identifying resistance mechanisms, and assessing the impact of fungicide use patterns. My work also focuses on developing and evaluating anticipatory and integrated management strategies, such as fungicide rotation and mixtures, dose optimization, and the combination of chemical control with host resistance and biological control, to ensure sustainable disease management in legume and cereal production systems particularly in agroecological systems
