About
Fidchem invites partners to build a consortium for the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-ZEROPOLLUTION-01-two-stage, focused on large-scale bioremediation and decontamination of aquatic environments affected by PFAS and other contaminants of emerging concern (CEC).
Fidchem contributes fully developed and field-tested technological modules, including:
-
selective microporous ion-exchange filter block systems for high-efficiency PFAS and CEC removal;
-
amphiphilic ionic liquid-based pre-concentration units enabling stable pollutant capture;
-
advanced non-thermal plasma reactors for PFAS and persistent pollutant mineralisation;
-
All modules are available as operational prototypes with validated test data.
These technologies provide a robust, ready-to-integrate solution for the extraction, pre-concentration and destruction of persistent contaminants.
However, the scope of the call requires a broader, systemic approach that includes ecological monitoring, hydrological modelling, bioremediation strategies, ecosystem impact assessment, and multi-site pilot deployment.
For this reason, Fidchem is seeking a multidisciplinary consortium capable of embedding our treatment approaches into a comprehensive remediation framework. Desired partners include organisations with expertise in:
-
aquatic monitoring and sensing,
-
environmental and ecological modelling,
-
bioremediation and ecosystem recovery,
-
water utilities and regional authorities,
-
LCA/LCC and impact assessment specialists,
-
pilot-site operators and demonstration facilities.
