Interdisciplinary Solutions for Circular Economy and Policy Impact Analysis

Associate Professor at Gebze Technical University

Istanbul, Türkiye

About

We are seeking collaboration for projects under Horizon Europe Cluster 6 that advance circular economy, sustainable bioeconomy, and climate-resilient strategies. The initiative integrates a multi-regional input-output (MRIO) framework to monitor material flows, waste generation, and circular interventions across regions. In parallel, multi-regional computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling will assess wider economic, sectoral, and regional impacts of circular economy and climate-related policies.

We are interested in collaborating with teams from energy, agriculture, and plastics sectors, as well as researchers in chemical and agricultural engineering, for material flow analyses and life cycle assessment (LCA). This cooperation can support proposals aligned with the following Horizon Europe 2026 calls:

  • HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-CIRCBIO-09: Balancing food security, bioeconomy, climate, and biodiversity objectives while unlocking sustainable value chains

  • HORIZON-CL6-2026-02-CLIMATE-01: More effective, fair, and coherent policies for climate change mitigation and adaptation in agriculture and forestry

  • HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-CIRCBIO-05: Understanding biomass flows in Europe

We welcome collaboration with consortia looking to integrate interdisciplinary expertise, link economic and environmental modelling, and deliver impactful solutions for sustainable regional development.
