A Systems Approach to Unlocking Microbiome Functions for Resilient Food Systems
Main Objective:
To establish a holistic systems-level understanding of microbiomes across interconnected ecosystems to enable innovative, sustainable applications in food systems.
Specific Objectives:

Develop and apply integrated multi-omics and AI-based models to characterize microbiomes in plants, animals, humans, and environments.

Identify microbiome-based solutions for food safety, human health, and climate resilience.

Enhance synergies and interoperability among EU infrastructures for data and sample sharing.

Standardize microbiome research tools, protocols, and reference resources for broader community use.
